I watched "Hawking" last night and I was on the verge of tears the whole fucking time because of how utterly heartbreaking Benedict Cumberbatch was in it. ;_; Really, that smile of his will kill me one of these days.
Apart from that, I suddenly wanted to do equations. I hated them in school - well, no, I didn't actually hate them, I loved to get them right, but I've always been quite absent-minded so, even if I knew all the rules and everything, I would always forget something small, like a -, and get the whole thing wrong, so I had to start all over again, which was very frustrating.
Anyway, I realised I still remember the very basic stuff, but I've forgotten the more advanced formulas. I took one Mathematics and 2 Statistics exams at university, it's a pity I can't remember any of it. It's not like I'm going to use it in everyday life, but it'd be nice to remember a bit more. For instance, I went and looked at some of my Statistics notes and was at a loss. Here, have a look:
( Big pic full of formulas behind the cut )
WTF I got a 30/30 in that exam and I can't remember anything now. I deeply despise Statistics, but I'd like to brush up on my algebra, so I've decided I'm taking up a new hobby and will be doing some equations from now on. Starting with simple ones, because I'm rusty as hell. And then I thought I could dig out my Physics books too, I was crap at Physics. Well, not really, I knew enough to get decent marks, but I could have done much better.
And I was thinking of this last night around 2 AM. What the hell is wrong with me?!
Also, this was my face during today's editorial meeting:
( Another cut 'cos it's a heavy gif )
Ugh, parish meetings and pre-marital courses, not my thing at all. Thank God someone else is writing about them, I'd die if I had to do that.
