Fanclub and summer plans
May. 7th, 2007 05:58 pmAs of yesterday I'm officially a member of the new Ärzte fanclub! YAY! :D I ordered the jacket too in the end, because I thought "Why not? If I am a silly fangirl, I might as well show it to world." ^_^
Hey, am I the only one who noticed that in the little videos on bademeister.com Farin's wearing a Krümel T-shirt? Damn you Farin, you stole my idea! (You can also see his trademark grin in today's video.
)
And a propos fangirlism (word of the year 2007): Bela, you know I love you with all my heart, but what the fuck? I'm glad you added another date to your mini-tour, but:
a) the first gig is in Potsdam, North-East of Germany, 6th August
b) the second gig is in Mannheim, South-West of Germany, 8th August
c) the (former) third gig is at the Taubertal Festival, quite close to Mannheim, 10th August
d) the new date is in Jena, in between Potsdam and Mannheim, on the 9th August
What the fuck? Why on the 9th? WHY? The logical thing to do would be Potsdam on the 6th, Jena on the 7th, Mannheim on the 8th, Taubertal on the 10th. See? Really smooth. I'm beginning to think he has some kind of deal with the Deutsche Bahn and he picks the locations so that his fans will have to travel all over Germany in order to see him. Either that or he needs a new tour manager. And lo, that's exactly what I'm studying. I'll send him my CV.
I'm also trying to decide what to do next summer, my idea is to fly to Berlin at the beginning of August or possibly the end of July, so I can visit my friends before the Potsdam gig, but I don't know what to do between Bela's last concert on the 12th and the DÄ gig on the 17th. I could go home, since Bela's gig is in Austria and the DÄ gig is in Switzerland and it would take me only 3 hours to go there from Milan. But going home after the gig on the 12th would mean I'd have to carry all my stuff with me. Or I could leave my stuff at my friend's place, go back to Berlin after Bela's gig, go to the DÄ gig in Switzerland and come back home from there. Now that I think about it though, I'll have to bring along my stuff in any case, either to Austria or to Switzerland. And maybe my friends won't be in Berlin during the second week of August, so I don't know if I can leave my luggage there. Damn.
And I'd like to visit other cities as well, like Hamburg: I went there for Bela's concert last year, but I only saw the red-light district. ^_^ I could go during the first week of August or between the 12th and the 17th if I decide to go back to Berlin after Bela's last gig. Or I could use those 5 days to visit Austria/Southern Germany/Switzerland. Everything is still up in the air, but I don't want to wait too much because AirBerlin tickets are cheaper if you buy them early. I think I'll end up buying a one-way plane ticket to Berlin and then come back from either Austria or Switzerland by train. If I were a couple of years younger, I'd get an Interrail, so I could use all the trains I want, but it gets quite expensive if you're older than 26. Perhaps I'll check the prices just in case.
Sorry for the chaotic entry. This band will be the death of me, dammit!
