Mmh, bass...
Oct. 15th, 2006 02:30 pmA reason why I don't like Milan: everything's ridiculously expensive. Yesterday I went out with some friends for a happy hour (happy hour in Milan = cheaper drinks + free buffet), I paid 5,50 € instead of 7 € for my cocktail, while a friend had a beer and paid 6 € for it. 6 € for a beer? At a happy hour? o_O
A reason why I like Milan: you can find foreign magazines. And guess what I bought yesterday?
( YAY! :D )
While I was in Milan yesterday afternoon I went to a music shop and fell in love. I've been thinking of buying a semi-acoustic bass for some time now, so I went in to have a look. Well, I saw this one and it was love at first sight. On the Ibanez site they only have it in brown, which looks hideous, but I swear the one in the shop looked black. Or maybe it was just because of the lights? Anyway, it looked great and Ibanez basses usually have a good sound, even my plain cheap electric one sounds good. I did a little research online as well to see what other makers have to offer and this bass seems to be quite good too (and it comes in black as well), but I'm not an expert; does any of you have any suggestions? I've only ever played an electric bass, but I'm very curious to try a semi-acoustic one.
And I'll be working in Milan again tomorrow. I feel like a ball in a pinball, always sent here and there, but hopefully I'll be working in this new place until the end of December. And hopefully I can take a couple of days off for New Year's Eve. *fingers crossed*
