Halloween report
Nov. 1st, 2005 05:36 pmHalloween Party was... uhm... good. I thought it would be somewhat wilder, the club I went to is one of the craziest places in Milan, but I still had fun. The music was a bit boring at first, mainly Italian songs from the '80s, we were even thinking of going somewhere else (Rainbow!), but eventually the DJs put on something decent and so we stayed. Also, one of the 2 female DJs is crazy, totally out of her mind. But that's another story. X)
Highlights of the night:
- Elena's outfit: I burst out laughing when I saw her getting out of the lift: she looked exactly like Loredana Bertè in the '80s. Loredana Bertè is an Italian singer, think of Madonna in Desperately Seeking Susan, only with brown hair. XD And her shoes were priceless.
- The Ramones: the theme of the night was "Rockstars", people were supposed to dress up as their favourite singers/musicians. Only a few people did, though, and the best was this group of friends, 3 girls and a boy, who dressed up as The Ramones! At first I saw a sign with "GABBA GABBA HEY!" written on it, then someone wearing a leather jacket with "Joey" written in white adhesive tape on the back and then I saw the whole group: everyone was wearing a black and white striped t-shirt, jeans and a leather jacket with the name of a member on the back. And they all had the same hairdo! A black bob or whatsitsname, they were great! At one point they went to the DJ to ask for a Ramones song, so she put on Sheena is a punkrocker. But only a few people danced to it (we did, of course :D ), most of the people were just looking at them with an "O-kaaaay" expression on their faces. Stupid people.
- The Drag Queens: there were 2 drag queens all dressed in white tulle who carried a toilet brush as a sceptre! XD At one point the DJ put on "L'incantevole Creamy", the opening theme of a Japanese cartoon from the '80s which is very popular in Italy and they did a little choreography. I was dying. XD
- The photo shoot: my favourite part of the night was after we left the club, we stopped at Demi's place and she took dozens of pictures of us. I don't have them yet, but I'll post a few when she gives them to me, some of them are truly hilarious.
Well, that's it. Back to work tomorrow - ugh.
