It hasn't happened to me, but my dad answered one of those fake e-mails that ask for credit card info and so on before he realized it was a scam. He just reported it to the credit card company as soon as he found out and got a new card. I don't think anyone ever tried to make any charges or anything with the card, but you never know. It's better to be safe than sorry.

I don't know how it works with rechargeable cards, but I would report it to the company or whoever just the same. Hopefully you can report it before anyone does anything with it.
