So, there's a date for the recording of the final episode of "Cabin Pressure". I'm so tempted to enter the draw to win a ticket. So, so tempted.

I had a brilliant time! Apart from the squeeing teenage fangirls who really made me want to curl up and pretend I wasn't there. Putting my name down just incase :D

I'm sure it was brilliant! (Screaming fangirls aside.) What episode was it?

I recently caught up with the episodes I was missing, I listened to one or two episodes just before going to sleep and I laughed myself to sleep every single night. XD

It was on the day of the royal wedding. Got to London at 6am, went to Buckingham Palace, went to Speedy's for breakfast and had a few beers. Great day!

They recorded "Qikiqtarjuaq", "Paris" and they also re-recorded Benedict's lines for "Ottery St Mary" (he lost his voice and was replaced by another actor initially. The stand-in still voiced Martin in "Newcastle"). They cut out a really lovely scene between Martin and Carolyn where she was actually going to pay him. Its a great laugh though. Good luck getting a ticket XD I wrote a letter to John Finnemore afterwards and got a reply. Was so pleased when it came!

Oh, God, I can only imagine the total CHAOS of London on that day. XD

Aw, John Finnemore replied to you? How sweet. And I'm not really holding my breath, but who knows, I might get lucky...

it was a reall surreal day! I have pics of people in red, white and blue outfits and lots of flags!

Is it true that winning a ticket doesn't guarantee that you'll be allowed in on the actual day? I think I read something like that on Twitter.

Yes that's been true for the past few series because the venue is so small. They over-subscribe slightly so that if someone doesn't turn up, their seat doesn't sit empty. A few folk at the recording I went to didn't get in. Luckily I was number 23 in the queue XD

That would be reason enough for me only to try to get a ticket if I lived close to the venue. It would be awful not to be allowed in.

I know! When I went, most folk started
queuing an hour or two before the recording started (I ended up talking to two lovely old women who loved the show), but for series 4, people were lining up at like 4am. I'm a big fan but don't think I could queue all night!

FOUR AM!? What the hell. I don't mind queuing (I had a lot of practice at DÄ concerts), but 4 AM is ridiculous.

I couldn't, I'd be half dead and the recording wouldn't be fun anymore. XD
